A Quiet Morning at Wine & Roses - Lodi, CA
Some wedding days feel calm from the very beginning, and this one was exactly that.
The morning began at Wine & Roses Resort and Spa, a place that always feels like a quiet escape tucked into the middle of Lodi. The grounds were lush and peaceful, with tall trees, soft pathways, and little corners that feel intentionally designed for slow moments. It is one of my favorite places to photograph brides because the light filters so beautifully through the greenery and every turn gives you a new backdrop without ever feeling busy.
We started the day with bridal portraits, taking advantage of the quiet morning and the soft natural light. These moments are always some of my favorites because there is no rush yet. Just a bride, her dress, and the chance to capture her fully present before the day unfolds.
From there, we moved into photos with her bridesmaids. There was so much joy in these moments, the kind that comes from genuine friendships and shared excitement. Laughter between shots, quiet reminders to breathe, and the kind of energy that sets the tone for the rest of the day.
The first look followed shortly after, and it was intimate and emotional in the best way. Those few minutes together allowed the couple to slow down, connect, and truly take in the fact that this was their wedding day. These are the moments that never feel posed because they do not need to be.
After the first look, we photographed the full bridal party, letting the energy build as everyone came together. Then we spent time with the groom and his groomsmen, capturing both group photos and a few individual portraits. The groom portraits were simple and timeless, focused on clean lines, confident posture, and the quiet anticipation before the ceremony.
The day later continued at Woodbridge Country Club, a classic and elegant venue that always photographs beautifully. From the open grounds to the refined reception space, it was the perfect setting to bring the entire day together.
This wedding was a reminder of why I love documenting full wedding days. Not just for the big moments, but for the calm mornings, the shared glances, and the in between pauses that make the story complete.

Celebrating At Woodbridge Country Club
As a Lodi wedding photographer, photographing weddings at Woodbridge Country Club located in Woodbridge, CA, always feels special. This part of the day began with a full family first look, one of the most heartfelt moments of the entire wedding. Grandma was already facing the bride and groom from the very beginning, so instead of a traditional reveal, she got to witness every reaction unfold in real time. It was sweet, genuine, and filled with laughter, the kind of moment that reminds you weddings are about family just as much as the couple.
After the first look, I made it a priority to capture the wedding decor details before guests arrived, especially knowing how much thought the bride had put into every element of the day. Each detail felt intentional and personal, from the carefully styled spaces to the small touches that might easily go unnoticed. One of my favorite examples was the handwritten message the bride created, which was printed onto each napkin, a simple but meaningful detail that reflected the care and heart she poured into her wedding. Moments like these are why I approach every wedding with such attention to detail.
Cocktail hour took place just after, with guests enjoying cheese boards and refreshments while mingling around the grounds. One of the standout details was a wall of sunglasses, each labeled with a guest’s name, which added a fun and playful element to the afternoon and quickly became a favorite.
The reception began with the bride and groom’s entrance as a married couple, followed by their first dance, emotional father daughter and mother son dances, and a surprise dance from the bride’s entire family that brought so much energy into the room. The rest of the evening flowed effortlessly with dinner, cake cutting, photos with guests, and a dance floor full of joyful moments. Weddings like this are why I love being a wedding photographer, not just for the big moments, but for the in between memories that make the day feel complete.
